"When it's time for souls to meet, there's nothing on earth that can prevent them from meeting, no matter where each may be located.
When two hearts are meant for each other, no distance is too far, no time is too long, and no other love can break them apart"
Katie and John-Paul were married in Aldershot, with their reception at Warbrook House in Eversley, on 16th April 2017. I was lucky enough to spend this special day with them, second shooting for Dan, from DM Photography.
While Dan photographed the ladies, I spent most of the morning with John-Paul, his two best pals and his lovely parents, at the home he grew up in with his six sisters. Yes, you heard me right – SIX sisters! Talk about being outnumbered – it must have been nice to have the bathroom to himself for a change!
We had a really fun, chilled out morning, involving champagne, croissants and You Tube tutorials on the correct way to tie a cravat!
Once suits were on and ties were tied, we headed out to await the arrival of the wedding guests at the Garrison Church in Aldershot. With John-Paul being an ex-Marine, this was the perfect location for the happy couple to become husband and wife.
Following a moving, and emotional ceremony, the guests made their way to the drinks reception and wedding breakfast at the fabulous Warbrook House. It was here where I learnt a little more about how Katie and John-Paul met... Are you ready for a love story..?!
The Bride and Groom met in a local nightclub. Nothing new there you might think? Well, it transpired that Katie was just about to hop on a plane and jet off to the other side of the world, for a year of adventure and travelling with her friends.
John-Paul, knowing that he wasn’t going to let her get away, spent the next couple of months visiting her Mum and Dad for his Sunday lunch, and skyping the lady who, by now he knew, was the love of his life. A few months down the line, and realising that they no longer wanted to be apart from one another, John-Paul gave up his job, bought a plane ticket and boarded a plane to Australia! The rest, as they say, is history. <3
These two are a really great couple, and along with their friends and families, they smiled and laughed the whole day long. Katie and John-Paul, it was a pleasure to spend your wedding day with you, and I wish you all the best for your lives together.
