"Now that the wait is over, and love has finally shown her my way,
Today and every day"
~Train. Marry me~
Wednesday 12th August, saw the fabulous wedding of Lauren to Jade. The sun shone, the birds sang and the guests laughed and cried in pretty much equal measure !
I mean, where do I start? From the moment I met Jade and Lauren, over a coffee in our local Starbucks, I knew I wanted to photograph their day. I tell you, these girls are in crazy in love; They are head over heels for each other. Each one just wants to make the other happy, and that is a lovely thing to be a part of.
On the big day itself, I met Lauren and her guests at Guildford Registry Office, where we tried to calm Lauren's nerves by keeping busy with a few informal photographs, while awaiting the arrival of Jade and her father. A special mention here, has to go to Jade's brother and his family, who flew over from Australia to surprise the Brides!! They were all set up to skype him during the ceremony, but instead there were tears and hugs all round. I can't tell you how delighted everyone was to have them there.
After a very moving and emotional ceremony, the guests all headed back to The Ely for the drinks reception, while the ladies and I stopped off on Yateley Heath, for some couple portraits. Such a lovely time of year for it, and the perfect chance for Lauren and Jade to take a little bit of time for themselves, before joining their guests at the reception.
The afternoon and evening reception were such fun - these newlyweds certainly had an awesome bunch of friends and family to celebrate with them. The happiness for these two lovely ladies, and the love that their guests shared for them, filled the room. I couldn't imagine a happier place to be.
Lauren and Jade, thank you for letting me share in your special day. It was an absolute pleasure. xx
