"When I saw you I fell in love, and you smiled because you knew"
On Saturday 28th March, Dan Marshall, (DM Photography), and I headed out to Wantage in Oxfordshire for the elegant Spring wedding of Hannah and Andy.
We met up with Hannah and her bridesmaids, who were getting ready in a nearby hotel. The room was filled with love and laughter, with everyone so happy to be there for Hannah on her special day. Andy even sent over a box of incredibly meaningful gifts for his bride to be to open on the morning of their wedding – even managing to include a jar of sand from Bournemouth Beach!
Once the ladies were dressed and ready to go, we all made our way to the picturesque Lains Barn, for the wedding ceremony. Having never photographed a Lains Barn wedding before, I was not disappointed. The barn looked absolutely amazing, with fairy lights, bunting and daffodils as far as the eye could see. For those who know me, you will already know that I love all three of these things in pretty much equal measures, so I couldn’t have been happier! The macaroon wedding cake and paper straws on the end of the bar just topped it all off beautifully. A true Spring wedding.
Hannah and Andy are such a wonderful couple, and the love in the room during the ceremony and speeches was palpable. I’m sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when it came to the turn of the Groom to make his speech.
It was an absolute privilege to photograph them on their wedding day.
