Ufton Court Wedding Venue
Alex and Brad chose to hold their wedding reception at the beautiful Ufton Court Wedding Venue in the Berkshire countryside. Ufton Court is a Grade 1 Tudor Manor House, with most weddings being held in the 16th Century Tithe Barn on the same site.
It might interest you to know that the profits raised by hosting weddings is used to help fund the Ufton Adventure Programme, which aims to enrich the lives of disadvantaged children through residential visits, based around outdoor learning. So as well as having your wedding in a stunning setting, you are also helping fund this fantastic charity. Win win!
Alex chose to get ready for her wedding at home, along with her four fabulous bridesmaids and Chewbacca, her and Brad’s rather inquisitive cat. With avocado on toast, clouds of hairspray and Alex’s best friends, it was a super chilled, fun morning.
While I hung out with the ladies, Annabel headed over to meet Brad, to take a few photos of him with his Best Man and Ushers, before the main event.
The Wedding Ceremony at St Michael and St Mary Magdalene, Easthampstead
Alex and Brad were married at St Michael and St Mary Magdalene, a really special choice, as Brad’s own parents were married in the same church.
The ceremony was heartfelt and emotional, I’m sure there wasn't a dry eye in the house when the guests saw Brads reaction to Alexandra walking down the aisle towards him.
After the lovely pair said “I do”, it was time for a few photos at the church, before heading off to Ufton Court for the Wedding Reception.
The Wedding Reception at Ufton Court
After leaving the church, Alex, Brad and all their lovely guests headed straight for Ufton Court, for an afternoon drinks reception. After the newlyweds headed into the gardens to a shower of confetti, their guests made the most of the sunshine and spent a lovely hour or so chatting, laughing and enjoying the pretty grounds that Ufton Court has to offer.
The Bride and Groom
Towards the end of the drinks reception, we took the newlyweds off for a wander round the grounds, so they could enjoy a little bit of time to themselves and take a few minutes to reflect on the day so far.
Of course, we also took this opportunity to take some fabulous, chilled out portraits of the happy couple.
Dinner and Speeches
The wedding breakfast was served in Ufton Court’s Tithe Barn, which had been decorated beautifully by the Bride and Groom. It’s definitely one of those venues that doesn’t need very much in the way of extra decor, so the paper lanterns, photo bunting and delicate flowers were the perfect addition to this rustic barn.
After dinner and into the evening
After dinner, the wedding guests made the most of the evening sunshine and headed out into the gardens for some space hopper fun, before making their way back inside for the cutting of the cake and the newlyweds first dance.
As the sun began to set, Alex and Brads guests were treated to the most amazing pizza’s from the wood fired pizza oven, (yes - I did try one myself!) What a fabulous end to the day.
**Congratulations Alex and Brad - you were awesome!**
